Who is Atique Ahmed? He is a gangster, politician, a former MP and a 5-time MLA from Samajwadi Party is in the news for all the bad deeds he had done. He has more than 100 criminal cases registered against him of murder, attempts to murder, criminal intimidation, and assault. and has been lodged in jail since 2019. A Prayagraj court pronounced Atiq Ahmed guilty in the 2007 Umesh Pal kidnapping case in March 2023. After Umesh’s murder in February 2003, an FIR was registered against Ahmed and his wife Sahista Parveen, their two sons, his younger brother Khalid Azim alias Ashraf, and others. Umesh Pal was the prime witness in the 2007 Raju Pal murder case. Ahmed has fought several elections from jail while being lodged under various charges. On 15 December 2016, he was arrested once again for assaulting staff of the Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology, and Sciences. The Allahabad High Court. Kidnapping and torturing of a businessman in Deoria jail: He is accused of kidnapping and assaulting a businessman in Deoria Jail. A call recording was also released in which Atique was threatening Mohit to pay extortion money or else he will be attacked. Two other businessmen also accused Ahmed of kidnapping and assaulting them in Deoria Jail. We can relate his character to Shishupal in Mahabharat. Shishupal was killed by Lord Shri Krishna when he committed his 101st crime. In this age of Kalyuga, justice is not impossible.
