An Indian State with four and half Chief Ministers

I was on a Vastu visit to an industry near Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. After finishing, the assignment, I still had a few hours, before the scheduled flight. The client accepted my request to use his own car for going to a nearby place. Till the time the car was on National highway, everything was OK; but when we moved away from it, the consistency of the jerks told so many things about the condition of road.

Dubeyji, with a long burning red vermillion ‘Teeka’ on the forehead was driving the car. Reacting to the condition of the road, he was kind enough to inform that this road is supposed to be constructed after every three months. I was very much curious; how a road may have such a big holes, after being repaired every three months. 

Dubeyji was very straight forward. He, along with whole masses of Uttar Pradesh, had voted for a state Government with a single Chief Minister. But, the public of Uttar Pradesh was lucky enough to have got a Government with four and half Chief Ministers in a single election. The roads of Uttar Pradesh, unable to bear such an unexpected windfall, could not believe their luck, and so due to their high emotions have become full of holes.

Who are these four and half Chief Ministers? Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav), his two brothers, RamGopal Singh and Shivpal Singh and Azam Khan are four Chief Ministers of Uttar Pradesh.

 Who is half Chief Minister, I was prompt to ask. It is Akhilesh Singh Yadav, official Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. I did not know, whether to laugh or weep. This is Indian democracy; sometime you have to laugh, because it is like a circus, sometime you want to weep, because it is like a circus.
